About the Eco-freindly Upcycled Glasses.
We, SmoothEdge, have teamed up with Bombay Sapphire to help them on their mission to become the most sustainable gin brand. SmoothEdge, based just south of Chichester, hand make and upcycle waste bottles into iconic, eco-freindly glassware.

SmoothEdge collects Bombay Sapphire's waste bottles from their distillery and handmakes the bottle into the upcycled glasses. The upcycled glasses are made with sustainability in mind. It is estimated that up to 50% of the U.K's glass bottles end up in landfills each year. As glass does not decompose, it will remain in landfills taking up unnecessary space.

Our particular process of upcycling means we can produce an upcycled Bombay Sapphire glass which is on average over 100x better for the environment compared to a buying a brand new glass made from virgin materials (in terms of Co2 produced to make the glass).

Care guide for the Upcycled Glasses
Although some upcycled glasses are fine to go in the dishwasher, we recommend carefully hand washing to increase the longevity of your glass.

Bombay Sapphire
Since SmoothEdge was established back in 2019, the Bombay Sapphire glass has been one of our best sellers and it's easy to see why. The Bombay Sapphire bottle is one of the most popular bottles we upcycle with the iconic Bombay Sapphire white botanicals on the side and the glass holds 350ml which is perfect for a G&T. These glasses make a great gift for any Bombay Sapphire lover or if you want some memorabilia from your Bombay trip, these are the glasses you need to go for.
Bombay Sapphire Sunset
When SmoothEdge and Bombay were talking about a collaboration, we decided it would be perfect to use the Bombay Sapphire Sunset bottles too. With the iconic blue bottle and bronze / orange etched botanicals on the side it makes for another perfect glass. We cut the bottle to the same size as the Bombay Sapphire, smooth the tops, polish and clean to create the beautiful glasses. it's a great size for a G&T and still looks perfect on the shelf next to the Bombay Sapphire.
